Mountain & Gravel Bike Tours in Radovljica and the Surroundings

The surroundings of Radovljica offer numerous options for cycle trips by mountain bike or trekking bike on dirt tracks and forest roads.

POPULAR DESTINATIONS:

• The Vodiška planina mountain pasture on the Jelovica plateau, somewhat lower, also on Jelovica, Talež has wonderful views of Bled Lake. The road to reach both destinations begins in the hamlet of Spodnja Lipnica.
• Mt. Dobrča and the mountain pastures beneath Begunjščica: Poljška planina, Planina Planinca and Preval, reached from the Draga valley.
• The Sankaška koča hut and St. Peter's church can be reached by bike on forest roads from the Krpin recreation area.
• From the Završnica valley in Žirovnica by bike to the Tinkova koča hut, to the peak of Smokuški vrh or to the Valvasorjev dom mountain hut.
• Via nearby Bled on the cycle route through the Radovna valley.

Use of a GPS navigation system, or hiring a local mountain bike guide, is recommended for cycling on forest roads.
