The Farmer's Table is a unique product that brings together local producers and excellent cuisine in the most sustainable way possible. The event takes place on a farm in the surroundings of Radovljica.
This new, innovative culinary experience, which was first held in autumn 2023, connects the countryside and excellent cuisine.
The approximately 4-hour experience through the Radovljica countryside first leads to a tour of an ecological farm and a chance to taste seasonal produce. You will be transported by hay cart, i.e. a sustainable and environmentally-friendly form of transport, past fields and across meadows, while enjoying the stunning views of the Kavaranke range and the Julian Alps.
This is followed by a visit to another farm and the highlight of the experience: lunch on the farm. You will spend the second part of the experience on the edge of a rural ecological farm. Various organic vegetables are grown on the farm's relatively small acreage, which are used to provide customers, including masterchefs, in the surroundings with weekly vegetable boxes. You can watch how the masterchefs from one of the participating Taste Radol'ca restaurants cook a culinary feast alongside the vegetable patches. The From Garden to Plate principle has never been closer and the journey from vegetable patch to plate never shorter.
The experience was developed with the aid of funding provided by the LAS Eko Okusi Slovenije project and is available in spring and autumn upon prior arrangement. The menu can be different each time, and, in addition, once a year – during autumn – the experience features all the chefs involved in Taste Radol'ca.
